Unique: This week is not as much about teaching our students to be unique, as it is discovering the distinctive qualities that make all of our students one of a kind.
Each of our students has something extraordinary inside of them that can remain hidden unless an external source brings it to the surface. We can be that force, but sometimes we need to search one more layer, delve one foot deeper to unearth our students special gifts.
I had the pleasure of digging up some secret talents of our students by simply asking, "What makes you stand out?" The responses ranged from getting laughs from baby brothers to singing solos in community choirs.
This week, take the opportunity to shine a light on your students strengths and skills by providing them a forum to share what is unique inside of them.
