Lincoln Families,

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our 2024-2025 Lincoln families! My name is Jason Hoff, and I have been in the Escondido Union School District for many years. I attended Escondido public schools from Kindergarten all the way through my senior year in high school. From Miller School to Del Dios and on to San Pasqual High School, I can honestly say I received a rigorous education that prepared me for a successful future. Most importantly, I had some great teachers! After receiving a teaching credential through California State University San Marcos I have been a classroom teacher, literacy and data analysis coach, and a behavior management and intervention coordinator at the elementary level since 2001. In 2011 I was an assistant principal at the middle school level, and in 2013 I became an elementary school principal at North Broadway School. I am fortunate to be serving the Lincoln community as your principal since 2020. I have had an amazing experience serving the Escondido community in education over the years, and I am committed to working together to continue serving our families through high quality education.

We are looking forward to a great year at Lincoln! It is a privilege to work with such an outstanding group of educators and support staff here at Lincoln Elementary. Lincoln is a family, and we're proud to have you as a part of it. Our school has hardworking and intelligent students, and a staff committed to creating learning miracles every day. In order for these learning miracles to take place, everyone must work together with a common vision and passion. We are here to "ignite" a love of learning in an effort to provide your child(ren) with the skills necessary to be successful in the 21st century. If you think about it, that truly is the purpose of a strong, early education.

Our number one priority is universal student achievement. Our staff has created a learning community at Lincoln focused on rigorous, standards-based instruction combined with high behavior expectations and values. Those are our priorities.

At Lincoln School, good character traits combined with thought-provoking academic teaching and learning leads to a happy and successful future for our children who will ultimately lead, serve, and add value to their community. Who wouldn't want that for their children?

Good Character Traits: Be Respectful, Responsible and Safe. No Excuses!

Rigorous Academic Instruction: (The 4 C's) Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking.

We value and are committed to keeping a respectful, responsible, and safe school culture for our students, families and staff members. But, it takes our whole Lincoln community to invest in those commitments. We believe that all of our children CAN and WILL be college and career ready by the time they graduate high school. We also believe that it is the responsibility of our "learning community" to ensure that readiness -- no exceptions, and no excuses.

Lincoln School truly appreciates strong support and involvement from our parents and community. Working together, we can continue Lincoln's tradition of academic excellence and high behavioral expectations.

Thank you for all you do to support your child both at home and at school. As we say here at Lincoln, "Welcome to the family!"
